2015 is a great year for a vacation! If you want to save big on your vacations, here are some tips for you:
- Try WWOOFing — World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms is an organization that allows you to stay for free on farms around the world. All you need to do is provide a day or two of labor, and you can stay for up to a week. It’s available in Europe, North America, Australia, and even parts of South America!
- Buy a city tourism card — If you’re visiting a big city and want to do all the “tourist” things, buy a city tourism card. You’ll be given access to a lot of museums and public attractions for a much lower price, and may even get discounts on transportation and travel around the city. You’ll find that they’re VERY handy when you visit larger cities.
- Put those points and miles to work — If you’ve been making purchases with a credit card for years, you’ve no doubt accumulated points and miles. It’s time to spend all of those rewards on a trip, and you’ll find that you can save big when booking your ticket using these rewards. You may have to put down some cash, but it will help you cut the price of your travel bigtime!
- Travel on budget airlines — While budget airlines aren’t the most comfortable option, they’re definitely a good way to save a lot of money on your travel. Companies like WOW, Air Asia, Ryanair, and Norwegian Air offer AMAZING savings for your trips. There are no frills, but who needs frills when traveling and trying to save?
